Here’s the ptich.
Let’s take all those Disaster Films from the 70’s (Irwin Allen) etc…
You know ….Poseidon Adventure, Towering Inferno, Earthquake to name a few. We’re going to add some 70’s style music. Donna Summer, Chuck Mangione, Captain and Tenille, Chicago (the band), Jigsaw (the band). It can’t miss…
This is the musical you’ve all been waiting for…
I don’t really know how Seth Rudetsky and his partners got this show green lighted, but bless them.
It’s corny, non-sensical, shouldn’t be any good. Guess what?
I’ve worked on this production twice now, it’s among the most enjoyable experiences I’ve ever had. I think it’s because of the commitment to this li, not claiming to be more than it is, all out farce….that causes it to succeed.
It’s fun. The creatives, cast, orchestra, crew, and audience seem to just eat this show up.
Orchestration: If you’ve ever been in or wanted to be part of a rock horn band, this is a great show for you.
